This weekend Weddings at Tiffany's opened its doors to the Sunshine Coast for all to see. Yesterday  (Saturday 12th Jan) the coast turned on a stunning summer day with the temperature soaring above 30 degrees. Inside the gorgeous air conditioned chapel and reception area it was cool and lovely with breath taking views of the Glasshouse Mountains.

Wedding Chapel- Weddings at Tiffanys

We at Sunny Girl Cakes loved showcasing our of cakes and enjoyed speaking to lots of couples about their upcoming wedding. Couples were offered samples of our delicious cakes and chatted about ideas and different designs. We took two display cakes which Karen from Karen Buckle Photography was generous enough to photography while she was there.

This cake is a sugar paste finished design with a hand made sugar peony. The lace drape is also made from sugar paste and the gorgeous pink ribbon picks up the soft colour of the wedding theme without being overbearing.

Our second cake was a more retro look with hand made bunting and sugar paste details to match the bunting. This type of style could be carried through from invitations to the cake to really personalise your wedding.

Hope you like our designs and if you would like to see more or speak to Skye, don't hesitate to call or email and we will be at the Sunshine Coast Bridal Showcase at Novotel Twin Waters Sunday 20th January if you would like to pop in and say hi.

Angie and Gavin - First wedding of 2013

Angie and Gavin were married at Noosa Waterfront Restaurant and Bar on Friday 4th January.

Their cake was a stunning three tiers of cherry ripe mud cake finished with rich chocolate ganache and covered in white sugar paste icing.

Hand made sugar roses topped the cake and the brooch added a real touch of glamour to the bow.

You can find this cake featured on the The Brides Tree  a fabulous inspiration web site as our first cake of 2013.
