Vintage Beauties

Vintage theme was the brief. Nut free and egg free cupcakes for a young girls birthday party.

I used whites, ivory's, pinks and light blues to create a gorgeous variety of decorations. They are chocolate mud cupcakes with no nuts or eggs and topped with chocolate ganache and sugar paste icing.

The party was held at the The Velo Project in Mooloolaba which is one of the newest cafes in town.

Emjay and Tarryn's Romantic wedding cake

A Four tiered cake was important to Emjay and Tarryn. They see it as representing two tiers for them and two tiers for what would be two children. I was pleased to hear this from Tarryn and was more than happy to do a version of the cake that they had fallen in love with.

All four layers where dark chocolate mud cake, filled with dark chocolate ganache. The  wedding reception was held at Maroochydore surf club and the room was decorated stunningly with lots of gorgeous bling by Beedazzled Events.

These gorgeous photos of our cake have been taken by Renae Rush Photography. click this link to check out the rest of their wedding at Renae's Facebook Page Emjay and Tarryn's Wedding day

I got the most amazing Text Message from Emjay following their wedding that said, " Hello Lovely Skye, Thank you for making our dream cake everyone kept saying it was the most delicious wedding cake they have ever eaten and we completely agree :) You did such a fantastic job! Thankyou x"

Shaye and Jay's Gorgeous Wedding cake

Shaye and Jay were a pleasure to deal with.  They had a good idea of what they wanted and were happy to take suggestions from me to help modernise a picture of cake that they seen that they liked.
They were married on 5th August 2012.

The cake is a white chocolate mud cake top tier and a cherry ripe mud cake base tier and was served as dessert. The calla lilies are hand made from sugar and decorated with ribbon and some beads to add dimension.

The love heart topper was supplied by Shaye and Jay and matched in with the diamanté ribbon just perfect. The reception was held at the Palmwoods Hotel

The base tier was stencilled with a gorgeous floral pattern using royal icing.

I got this amazing message from Shaye on Sunday.

A MASSIVE thank you to you for making the most perfect cake EVER for our wedding day! It was delicious.. Stunning.. Made with so much love.. And we definately did not want to cut it!! You made our "cake expidition" such a breeze! loveliest person to deal with, so helpful and had all the time in the world for us.. But the littlest thing made the biggest impact -- you remembered our names when you approached us in public!!

We will more then recommend you!!! And we will be back for more of your sweet goodness! Thank you so very much ♥ Shaye Lindsay
